Information briefing session for Australia Awards Scholarship

Australia Awards – Mongolia organised an Information briefing session for Australia Awards Scholarships Intake 2024 on 2 March 2023. It was attended by officials from the Government of Mongolia, and the Australian Embassy in Mongolia, awardees of Scholarship Intake 2023, and the Australia Awards – Mongolia (AAM) team.

HE Katie Smith, The Ambassador of Australia to Mongolia, and Mr. Byambasuren. U, Vice Chief of the Cabinet Secretariat and Chair of the Program Coordinating Committee of Australia Awards Mongolia made opening remarks for the session. They briefly introduced the prestigious Australia Awards Scholarship and noted that there are over 700 graduates who are contributing to the development of Mongolia. They emphasized that the year 2023 was special as it is the 30th anniversary of the Australia Awards Scholarships in Mongolia.

Australia Awards – Mongolia team gave a presentation on Australia Awards Scholarship. They gave guidance on how to learn more about the scholarship, what are the eligibility criteria, how to prepare for the application, and the application process for the scholarship. In addition, Australia Awards Scholarship Intake 2023 awardees shared their experiences with the application process and the lessons they learned.

At the end of the event, some participants asked questions they were interested in and got detailed information about their questions during the “Question and Answer” session. The briefing session was attended by approximately 700 people and 70 percent of them were women. We wish good luck to the applicants who are applying for the Australia Awards Scholarship Intake 2024.
